Location: Camp Raglan
8-11 March. Leaving school promptly in the morning by private vehicles and school van returning 3pm Thursday 11th March. Students will need to bring their own packed lunch and a drink bottle on Monday. Please name all items your child brings to camp. Teacher in charge Dennis Stevenson and Carolyn Edkins.

Y 12 Surf Awareness/Year 12 Biology Trip @ Raglan
Location: Wainui Reserve, Raglan
Y 12 Surf Awareness and Year 12 Biology trip to Raglan. The main focus of the day for PE is to help students become more aware of safety when swimming in the surf. We will have a variety of practical activities, including rescue scenarios from professional lifeguards to help our students learn what is involved. Year 12 Bio students will conduct a zonation study. Returning by 3.10 pm.
Students need to bring a packed lunch, water and sunblock/hat, togs, towel (wetsuit and fins optional but recommended). Mufti can be worn for the day.Add to Calendar (vEvent)

Location: Te Rapa Waterworld
For age 9-12. Travelling by bus leaving at 11.30 am returning at 3.10 pm or parents to pick-up from pools from 3 pm onwards. Teacher in charge: Catherine Cunliffe. We do require help with supervision and giving out placings. Clothing required: Uniform, togs, towel, house colours. Bring lunch, spending money, drink and afternoon tea snack if desired.

Teacups is a group for parents/caregivers of HCS children. We meet regularly on the second Wednesday of the month with the purpose of fostering community and harmony amongst the school "family". Yr 12 History Trip
Location: Kawau Island and Howick Historic Village, Auckland
Yr 12 History Trip. 24 to 26 March. Departing this evening so as to be at Sandspit for the early morning ferry to Mansion House on Kawau Island. Here the students will begin filming their video documentaries on the development of Technology from the 18080's to the 1960's. On the Friday we will meet up with the year 9's but the year 12s at Howick Historic Village. We aim to be back at HCS around 4pm on 26 March. Parent involvement would be greatly appreciated (no charge for parent helper!)

For all juniors, intermediates and some seniors. Come dressed up as a character from a favourite fiction book you have read (one that was a book before it was made into a film).

For age 8-12. This event will start at 10am till 2pm. This is NOT a compulsory event, students not participating will stay at school. All students must come to school in full and correct uniform. Career Paths Expo Y11-13. Entry is free. HCS is happy to facilitate the students to attend. If a student wants to go please arrange it so that it takes place after 12.40 pm if possible. Please ensure that the student does not have any school requirements such as an assessment. Music sttudents may have activities that need to be considered. Students intending to go should bring a note and have it stamped at the office. They need to sign out when they leave.
